After a salty 2 days and nights at sea, the crew of Seadee was delighted to pull into the quaint village of Bald Head Island, NC. This place is just beautiful and our favorite feature is that golf carts are the only vehicles permitted on the island  (so green!); they also make great root beer floats here at the Ice Cream Shoppe.

The Atlantic travel was not for naught, though, since we did catch 2 mahi and a tuna while trolling offshore. I (Annie) also came to the startling realization that my fish filleting skills could use some sharpening; thankfully the fish were forgiving and by the 3rd one it looked like I actually knew what I was doing.  I also got some help from Captain Jack.

Big Fun in Nantucket


How big? 46 inches! Attending Espo’s batch party, organized by John Madison, one day was devoted to a fishing excursion. Two boats, and boasting rights at stake, we set out into the cold misty morning in search of the big fish. The two boats caught a collective 122 fish, including 13 stripped bass (the rest Blue Fish). This fish fed 12 with plenty to spare.
